Univox 'Lectra



The 'Lectra (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) was a copy of 1930's Aria violin bass (similar to Paul McCartney's). It was a hollowbody w/ no f-holes, Cremona brown finish, 1 neck pickup, bolt on neck,22-fret rosewood fretboard, covered bridge/tailpiece, volume and tone controls, elevated pickguard, originally had the plastic logo, changed in 71 to decal. Earlier versions in the 60's had 2 pickups and a plastic logo (1, 2). There did exist a hollow version of the bass (1, 2, 3) The bass was also availible in black (1, 2, 3)

In 1971 there were the U1970, U1970F (fretless verison), both were$220. Available from before 1971-about 73/74
